Christoph Möllers is a Professor of Public Law and Jurisprudence, Faculty of Law, Humboldt-University Berlin and a Permanent Fellow at the Institute for Advanced Study Berlin. Currently, he serves as a Programme Director ?Future of Democracy? at The New Institute. His main research interests include German, European and comparative constitu­tional law, regulated industries, democratic theory in public law, and the theory of normativity. He was a Fellow at NYU School of Law and at the Wissenschaftskolleg zu Berlin and visiting Professor at CEU, Princeton University, LSE and Universités Paris I and II. He is a member of the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences, and was a judge at the Superior Administrative Court in Berlin. Möllers has represented and advised Bundesregierung, Bundestag and Bundesrat as well as other parties in the German Federal Constitutional Court. In 2016 he was awarded the Gottfried-Wilhelm-Leibniz-Preis of the German Research Council, in 2019 the Schader-Preis. His works have been translated into English, French, Spanish, Chinese and Japanese. His last English publications include The Three Branches (OUP 2013) The Court without Limits (co-author, OUP 2020), and The Possibility of Norms (OUP 2020). His most recent German book is a reflection on political liberalism. It has been awarded with the Tractatus-Preis 2021 and been shortlisted for several book prizes. 

Christoph Möllers ist Professor für Öffentliches Recht und Rechtsphilosophie an der Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin und Permanent Fellow am Wissenschaftskolleg zu Berlin. Im Moment entwickelt er die Forschungsgruppe Future of Democracy am The New Institute. Seine Forschungen bewegen sich in den Bereichen deutsches, europäisches und vergleichendes Verfassungsrecht, Demokratietheorie und Theorie sozialer Normen. Er war zuvor Professor für Öffentliches Recht an den Universitäten Münster und Göttingen, Emile Noël-Fellow an der NYU, Fellow am Wissenschaftskolleg und Gastprofessor u.a. an der CEU Budapest, Princeton University und den Universités Paris I und II. Von 2011 bis 2014 war er Richter im Nebenamt am Oberverwal­tungsgericht Berlin-Brandenburg. Er hat Bundesregierung, Bundestag und Bundsrat wie auch viele andere Beteiligte beraten und vor dem Bundesverfassungsgericht vertreten. Möllers ist Träger des Gottfried-Wilhelm-Leibniz-Preises der DFG 2016 und des Schader-Preises 2019. Zu seinen letzten Publikationen gehört: Die Möglichkeit der Normen, Berlin 2015 und Demokratiesicherung in der Europäischen Union (mit Linda Schneider), Tübingen 2018 und ein Neuentwurf des politischen Liberalismus: Freiheitsgrade, Berlin 2021. Dieser wurde mit dem Tractatus-Preis 2021 ausgezeichnet.
