Enrico Porfido is a PhD Architect with studies and working experiences in Italy, Albania, Norway, Portugal, Brazil and Spain. His research focuses on the relationship between tourism, landscape and local communities, investigating the effect on coastal and urban landscapes. He received the IDAUP PhD degree, from University of Ferrara and POLIS University, developing a research on urban and tourism development in Balkan countries, with a specific focus on the Albanian territory. 
Former lecturer at Universiteti Polis in Tirana, he is now based in Barcelona where he collaborates with public and private institutions as consultant of European funding projects and scientific research activities, from editorial to conference organization tasks. Member of the ?Institute Habitat, Territory, Tourism? (Polytechnic University of Catalunya) and the ?sealine research centre? (University of Ferrara), he co-founded his independent research group ?paisviagem?. In this framework, he recently started a collaboration with the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation of Lisbon. 
Coordinator for the international scientific conference ?Touriscape2 ? Transversal Tourism and Landscape?, Barcelona 2020, he has been invited as guest lecturer and crit in several institutions, such as Cornell University in Ithaca (USA), the CETT ? School of Tourism, Hospitality and Gastronomy in Barcelona and Milano-Bicocca University. He regularly publishes in international scientific journals and magazines.
