Professor Kuan-Ling Shen graduated from NTU College of Law and earned her Ph.D. from Heidelberg University, Germany in 1999. She joined the NTU Faculty of Law in 2004 after teaching four years at National Chengchi University She dedicated herself to comparative legal studies and received the Senior Fulbright Research Grant to be a visiting scholar at the School of Law at the University of California, Berkeley during the 2013-2014 academic year. Professor Shen also serves as a board member of the Research Foundation of Civil Procedure Law. Her research interests include civil procedure law, non-contentious law, arbitration law, family proceedings law, and bankruptcy law. She has published extensive articles and 6 books on Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), amendments to the Code of Civil Procedure, and the Family Proceedings Act. Professor Shen was also the Vice Dean of NTU Law from the year of 2016 to 2018.
